you must select over three object then it is in active.
1) make the other objects by each layers.

2) select all layers. 

3) click Top edges. disposed at equal intervals by top edge of first and last shape.

it is a align function by common.

for example,

let's suppose that you take pictures of moving object up and down in the same place.

it may be different to position or angle of background even though some.
sometimes we want to move background not at all.
1) put the other pictures by each layers.
2) select all layers. 
3) click Auto align Layer icon. ( or Edit > Auto align Layer )
4) it is the same to position or angle of background automatically.
